Marking a task done

Saying that a task is done raises three questions at once.
One, it is done
The task returns to the finished state, with the name of the person and the date. Nothing is erased: every state change is kept, which gives a task a small history of its own.
Two, recording the time spent
The “Record time” switch offers to create an entry in the task’s category, in the name of whoever just finished it. It is optional. The time may already have been measured with the timer, or five different tasks of the same category may have been measured in one go.
The shortcut can save having to do it separately.
Three, rescheduling
The “Reschedule” switch proposes a date, computed from the previous completions of this task. The application takes the median gap between two completions, applies a floor of one week, and displays the rhythm it observed, for instance “roughly every 8 days”.
The median is used rather than the average, because a month of holidays must not shift the whole rhythm. And this step stays optional: the switch lets you turn it off.
