The tasks

What is in progress, what is to do, what comes back soon.

A task is something to do, attached to a category and placed on a date. The screen sorts them in three movements: what is in progress, what is to do, and what arrives later, folded away at the bottom.

Taking a task

Taking a task moves it to in progress and shows who took it. While it is in progress, only the person who took it can modify it.

The intent is to avoid the classic of shared life: two people doing the same errand, each convinced the other was not taking care of it. Taking a task is announcing it.

You can release what you took. Nobody is trapped, and leaving a team automatically releases what you were holding there.

Assigning without commanding

A task can carry one or several names. That is an indication, not a restriction: any member can still take it and finish it. This follows from the absence of hierarchy in the application.

Each block has its own “My tasks” button, filtering down to what concerns me. The filter is written into the page address, so a view can be bookmarked.
